Penelope Cruz Sanchez was born in Madrid, Spain, on April, 28, 1974. Raised along with brother Eduardo and sister Monica, Penelope was always fond of the arts, particularly ballet and jazz dancing. Her passion for dance led to her decision to abandon traditional schooling, focusing her time and energy instead on the graceful art of classical ballet.

"Pe," as she is nicknamed, may not have her high school diploma, but she is very much educated. Emma Watson's new teenage Line

The 19-year-old actress is said to be fond of ethical clothes and this is exactly what she wants to work on. It is even reported that the teenage line might be launched later this year.

Emma is planning to do a photo shoot this month and wants the range to have a “casual rock feel”.

Besides, she has called on popular model Tafari Hinds to help her in this really not easy job for her.

She’s a big supporter of ethical concepts so liked the idea of this. There’s also a lot of interest from other influential brands since her success as the face of Burberry. Acting is always going to take priority, but she’s keen to branch out,” said a source close the actress.

However, the rumors haven’t been confirmed yet and probably Emma will again deny the information as she’s done it lately.

Let me remind you that some time ago the Internet buzzed about Watson’s intentions to launch her own line. The rumors turned out false.

The girl said:

I’m really not interested in doing it for my own ego. I’m not a designer.”

However she added:

If someone asked me to do something that was beneficial to a cause, then maybe I’d consider it, but not just (to be able to say) ‘Look at me! I’ve got my own line!’ (It’s) gotten so ridiculous.”

Famed Model Naomi Sims Dead at 61

Naomi Sims, the famed model and designer whose 1968 appearance on the cover of Ladies' Home Journal marked a breakthrough for African American women in the fashion and design industry, died Saturday, according to a report in the New York Times.

Sims, who most recently resided in Newark, was 61, and died of cancer, the report said.

Sims, who is often acknowledged as the first black supermodel, struck two poses in the late 1960s that are still on display today in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City: a 1967 Times fashion magazine cover and another image from a 1969 issue of Life Magazine, the report said.

After enjoying five years of success on the runway, Sims launched a successful wig-making business, sparking a lucrative enterprise by designing hairstyles aimed specifically at African American women, according to the report.

Also known for her writing prowess, Sims penned several advice novels including "All About Health and Beauty for the Black Woman" and "How To Be a Top Model." She also authored an advice column for Right On! magazine.

She was married to Manhattan art dealer Michael Findlay from 1973 to 1991. Sims is survived by a son Robert, a daughter, Betty, and a granddaughter.
